Intro A Gmaj7 D A D A

      A G D
Got outta` town on a boat going to southern islands
    A G D A
Sailin` reach before a a following sea
            G D
She was makin` for the trades on the outside
    A G D A
And the downhill run to Papeete Bay
           G D
Off this wind on this headin` lie the Marquesas
    A G D Bm A
We got eighty feet of the waterline nicely makin` way
         G D
In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you
      A G D Bm A
But on the midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away
