This progression is consistent throughout the whole song, excluding the hidden ending
found on the "Lullabies to Paralyze" version.

The "Over the Years..." version intro is an improvisation using the standard pentatonic
method of 1-4, 1-3, 1-3, 1-3, 1-4, 1-4 with hammer-ons and pull-offs as well as finger
picking (this is notable as it may be more difficult to replicate with a standard pick
of any gauge).

The guitar solo on both versions also uses the method noted above.

To fully replicate the live/studio sound, an acoustic and electric guitar duo is
necessary as well as drum, bass, and optional keys effects. I've found that this
song is particularly nice to play on an acoustic 6-string, but it is a quite versatile
piece, so play it as you see fit.
