Master Of Puppets tab

Metallica tabs for Master of puppets The title track from Metallicas third album and the last with Cliff Burton. This was also Burtons favorite track to play on that album. The song is famous for its heavy use of downpicking and this makes these Master of puppets tabs fun to play. There are also long instrumental parts which was very typical for Metallica in the late 80s.

The lyrics are about drugs. Lead singer and guitarist James Hetfield had his own problems at the time, but none of the lyrics is from his perspective, always someone else. There is a lot of number ones in the history of the song, even though it was never released on single for the public. Among other Q magazine gave it the top spot in their 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks list, while Total Guitar magazine ranked it as number one in a 100 Greatest Riffs poll. It has a major part in the “Guitar hero Metallica” video game, but playing these Master of puppets guitar tabs for real are more fun.
