California Dreaming Intro For Guitar tab by The Mamas & The Papas

  Hello everyone! I just wanted to provide this because there are great tabs for this
song out there, but all the intros are written for two guitars and sometimes capo, which
there are in the song but you may not have in real life.
  It can be done by one person, just either plucked by fingers or with a pick and muting
of strings. The timing and positions are the tricky part, so I will explain the system
below (it’s pretty simple).

  OK, each measure is divided into sixteenth notes (each one is a quarter of a beat, and
there are four beats in a measure). Each beat is marked by its number (1, 2, 3, or 4)
and each “,” signifies another sixteenth note. There are spaces because there had to be
a place to write the finger of each note, and so the spaces do not represent actual time
in the measure. I hope that’s not too confusing. Note that these fingerings are my
opinion of what works best, so if you have different ones that work better, go for it.
