Artist: Horslips Song: Dearg Doom (Dearg Dùm) Transcribed by: Rob Hurson (moodus@redbrick.dcu.ie) Based on a traditional Irish tune called O'Neill's march, also used in the Irish world cup song for Italia '90 (Put 'em under pressure) by Larry Mullen (and Jack Charlton, 'course ;)). The Horslips version was re-released as part of Tom Dunne's CD last year, so I suppose there's still a few people looking for this tune. Odd that it's not on the net though. I worked this out from a friend of mine who plays the mandolin. It's easy, just keep the rhythm together.
Riff A: e|----------------|----------------| B|----------------|----------------| G|----------------|----------------| D|----------------|----------------| A|-----3--2--5--0-|--------------3-| E|--3-------------|--3--3--2--0----| Riff B: e|-------------------------| B|-------------------------| G|-------------------------| D|-------------------------| A|-----------------3--0----| E|--0--0--0--2--0--------0-| Riff C: e|----------------|----------------| B|----------------|----------------| G|----------------|----------------| D|--2--2--4--0--2-|--------------0-| A|----------------|--------3--0----| E|----------------|--0--0----------| And that's it. Don't ask me to tab out the pipes bit 'cause I'm not that bored. --
