Eagles released this song in 1978, but it was originally done blues singer and pianist Charles Brown in 1960. As with many Christmas-songs, it ended up being a classic which can be heard on the radio in December each year. These Please Come Home for Christmas guitar chords are for the Eagles version which has slightly different lyrics. Here they sing "bells will be ringing the sad, sad news" while the first version has "glad glad news". Jon Bon Jovi also covered the song on his1992 Christmas album.
