It's for 'Hometown Glory' by Adele, a song originally composed for piano and which I thought would sound great on guitar but which actually, in all honesty, doesn't really survive the translation all that well. Still, I've put the time in and, who knows, *someone* out there might like it. So here ya go. First of all, you need to retune the guitar. There may be a more optimal retuning but this one works well for me. E tuned down to C# A tuned down to E D, G, & B stay as they are. E tuned down to D#
The bulk of the song is basically this pattern repeated over and over again: 7-7-7-7-|5-5-5-5-|5-5-5-5-|3-3-3-3--| -6-6-6-6|-6-6-6-6|-6-6-6-6|-6-6-6-6-| 6-6-6-6-|6-6-6-6-|6-6-6-6-|6-6-6-6--| --------|--------|--------|---------| 6-6-6-6-|4-4-4-4-|--------|---------| --------|--------|4-4-4-4-|5-5-5-5--| There's also this little interlude where she kicks it up a couple of octaves: 19--19--19--19--|17--17--17--17--|17--17--17--17--|15--15--15--15---| --18--18--18--18|--18--18--18--18|--18--18--18--18|--18--18--18--18-| 18--18--18--18--|18--18--18--18--|18--18--18--18--|18--18--18--18---| ----------------|----------------|----------------|-----------------| ----------------|----------------|----------------|-----------------| ----------------|----------------|----------------|-----------------| And then it goes back to the first bit again. I've done this by ear so there may be unintentional omissions or other mistakes. By and large, however, the above gives a close approximation of the piano version.
